Gynecologic Oncology is the field of oncology and surgery specialization that provides care and treatment for female patients with malignancies arising in the reproductive tract or pelvis area. These cancers include malignancies of the pelvis, such as of the ovaries, endometrium, cervix, vulva and vagina. The gynecologic oncologist is both a skilled surgeon and skilled chemotherapist who will combine these specialties to treat the patient.
