 Summary:

 Will be responsible for account follow up for all assigned accounts, resolving billing problems and answering patient inquires.  Sets up financial arrangements as needed.  Uses collection techniques to keep accounts receivable current including monitoring for delinquent payments. 

 Responsibilities:

  •  Performs audits of patient accounts to ensure accuracy and timely payment.
  • Reviews account agings on a monthly basis and reports inconsistencies and correct errors as appropriate.
  • Contacts patients regarding delinquent accounts and arranges mutually acceptable payments schedules.
  • Follows up on insurance billing to ensure timely receipt of payments.  Demonstrates the ability to deal with patients and insurances companies regarding sensitive financial matters and recapture unpaid balances.
  • Receives and resolves patient billing complaints and questions; intimates adjustments as necessary.
  • Follows up on all zero payment explanations of benefits and exercises all options to obtain claim payments;
  • Reviews credit balance reports for correct recipient of refund

 Qualifications:

  •  High School graduate or Associate’s Degree. 
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years recent work experience in a medical business office setting with insurance processing and balancing responsibilities.
  • Must be able to meet deadlines and be a team player.

 Summary:

 Develops, plans, and directs the statewide clinical activities at multiple locations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.  Advises the Executive Director and Joint Practice Board regarding clinical programs, issues, and policies.  Recommends organizational objectives to and other regulatory standards of quality patient care and financial profitability.  Ensures compliance with OSHA Compliance Program to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Oversee the statewide clinical operations for all clinical disciplines.
  • Maintain effective clinical staff coverage for the practice within budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversee the completion of performance evaluations including development of performance objectives and development goals each year.
  • Directs the correct use of charge codes and educates all clinical staff in accordance with practice service objectives.
  • Develops annual operating goals and budget for the clinical department in support of the practices business plan.

 Requirements:

  •  Must have a Bachelors degree in nursing, healthcare, or business field required (MSN, MBA or MHA preferred).
  • 7 minimum years of experience in healthcare management; 3 years must include supervisory experience.
  • Experience in Oncology/Hematology office management.
  • Must have a current licensure for applicable clinical educational background; ONC credential preferred.

Medical Technologist

Type:  Full-Time - Non-Exempt

Work Schedule:  M-F, 8-5

Job Summary:
Will be responsible for accurately perform and specimen analysis, instrument maintenance, and quality control procedures including moderate and high complexity laboratory tests. Imitates and follows quality assurance and safety policies and procedures.  Performa’s specimen collection and assists with patient flow as needed.  Trains employees in laboratory procedures.  May act as primary operator for at least one laboratory activities in absence of supervisor.  Supports and adhere to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with performing phlebotomy and collecting appropriate specimens from patients and ordered.
  • Assure pre-authorization and completes appropriate consent forms (ABN) prior to collection of limited coverage tests.
  • Assists with special procedures as needed (i.e. bone marrows in the room).
  • Follows the laboratory’s procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting, and maintaining records of patient results.

Qualifications:

  • Must have at least two years experience
  • Must have a Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or laboratory science.
  • Must have a current state NCA license
  • Certification as a MT, ASCP, ACLS or NCA certification is required.
  • Must be willing to work at multiple sites (5-10%); as needed.

RN - ONC

Summary:

Provides professional nursing care for patients adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations.  Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care of participates in company wide quality initiatives.  Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program.

Job Duties: 

  • Demonstrates knowledge of age specific difference in the patient population including physiological and developmental differences unique to each group.
  • Assesses and monitors therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under the direction and supervision of physician.  
  • Assists physician with exams and procedures.
  • Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow.
  • Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems.
  • Documents all elements of care.

Job Requirements:

  • Must have a BSN
  • Must have up to 3 years experience;
  • Oncology experience is highly preferred.
  • Experience and knowledge of the purpose and use of medications in the treatment center is preferred;
  • Must have a current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Current BCLS certification.
